Sustainability Matters

Water is one of the most used resources in creating natural gemstone jewelry. Cutting delicate gemstones in an intricate manner requires tons of water, which was one of our top concerns for planning production. Usually the water is discarded after use for each individual piece of jewelry. As you can imagine, that's a lot of water.
Bella and her team in Brazil created a revolutionary system in gemstone jewelry manufacturing with which we are now able to reuse water 20 times before it is discarded. Thanks to technology and a highly efficient water filter, we are able to filter out unwanted particles and re-use that water. This has changed the amount of water consumed in the manufacturing process by 80%.
Aside from this stellar innovation, our carbon footprint is also minimized by lessening the amount of trips diesel trucks take going back and forth to discard the water properly. Studies reveal large diesel trucks to be the greatest contributors to harmful black carbon emissions.
We are proud to be able to offer beautiful jewelry that is considerate of our environment we wish to preserve.
